1Shell or smooth stonefor grounding and connection to the sea.

Instructions
Step 1: Creating the Sacred Space
Choose a quiet location near a body of water if possible. If not, a bowl of seawater or salted water will suffice.
Arrange the blue or green candle, bowl of water, and offering dish on a flat surface or altar. Add seashells or stones for added symbolism.
Step 2: Invocation of Aegir
Light the candle, saying:
“Aegir, Lord of the Sea, ruler of the deep and unseen,I call upon your power and presence.May your strength guide me, your balance inspire me,And your abundance flow into my life.”
Pause to feel the energy of the sea and Aegir’s presence filling the space.
Step 3: Offering to the Sea Lord
Pour a small amount of mead, ale, or water into the bowl, saying:
“Aegir, I offer this gift to you,In gratitude for your endless tides and generous spirit.May this offering honor your domainAnd strengthen the bond between mortal and sea.”
If near a body of water, pour the offering into the ocean or stream. If indoors, place it in the offering dish.
Step 4: Reflection and Connection
Hold the shell or stone in your hand, focusing on its connection to the sea.
Reflect on the cycles in your life—what you wish to release and what you hope to welcome in the coming year.
Visualize the ocean’s waves carrying away negativity and bringing renewal and strength.
Step 5: Closing the Ritual
Extinguish the candle, saying:
“Aegir, I thank you for your presence and blessings.May your tides of abundance and balance guide me always. As the sea returns to its calm, so too does my spirit find peace.”
Scatter the water from the bowl outdoors or return it to the sea, completing the cycle of the offering.
