- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 small log of goat cheese about 4 oz, sliced into rounds
- Crusty bread for serving
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sauté the Mushrooms: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the sliced mushrooms and thyme leaves to the skillet, and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake the Goat Cheese: While the mushrooms are cooking, arrange the slices of goat cheese in a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is softened and slightly golden on the edges.
